Master of Management

Prepare to lead in any field. Whether you are an artist, an entrepreneur, or a job seeker who wants to stand out, this one-year program provides a solid business foundation to enhance your professional opportunities and the flexibility to tailor course work to your specific goals.

About the Program

In our new Master of Management (MM) Program, you’ll go beyond business fundamentals and explore the socially responsible values that are core to our mission. In a uniquely inclusive and diverse environment, you’ll experience lively discussions and collaborative problem solving as you strengthen your voice for leadership. Drawing inspiration from our location in Oakland, California, and the San Francisco Bay Area’s culture of innovation, we invite you to join a community committed to leading change across all sectors.

In just one year, our MM degree will enable you to gain core competencies in financial accounting, marketing management, and leadership and ethics. You’ll focus your studies on your areas of interest by selecting either our quantitative or behavioral track. You can also choose electives that strengthen your general business knowledge or your expertise in one of these concentrations:

  • Accounting
  • Education
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Nonprofit Management
  • Social Entrepreneurship
  • Social Impact & Innovation
  • Socially Responsible Business

If you decide to expand your business education in the future, the master of management will provide a great foundation for the broader requirements of an MBA.

MM with a Concentration in Education

If you’re interested in management and educational leadership, this option enables you to combine both areas in your degree. Complete the MM Program and, in consultation with your advisor, choose three education courses as electives toward the MM.
