Events & Activities
  • Talks and Panel Discussions—Learn about computer science careers and emerging trends from Mills alumni, corporate recruiters, and other professionals.
  • Workshops—Participate in hands-on, collaborative learning experiences such as hackathons to create solutions for community issues.
  • Off-Campus Tours—Visit the headquarters of such industry leaders as Facebook, Google, Yelp, Salesforce, and Square.
  • Mills Computer Club—This student-run organization seeks to promote technical skills and professional opportunities for Mills students (undergraduate and graduate) interested in computer science and its related careers.
  • Grace Hopper Conference—Each year, a group of Mills computer science students attends this national conference for women in computer science.

Mills students hold computer science internships at leading companies in the San Francisco Bay Area and across the country, such as Google, NASA, SpaceX, Splunk, Uber, and Veeva Systems. These internships frequently lead to fulltime positions.
