The Place for Writers produces two Works in Progress reading series each semester, one in creative writing and another in scholarly writing. At either series, graduate students present new works to an intimate audience of peers and faculty. Faculty also read and present from their most recent works in progress, encouraging a lively interaction between students and professors.
MFA candidates have the opportunity to present their work during their final year of study. Each reading features three student readers and one faculty member.
All MA students are invited to present drafts of their scholarly writing and research projects before an audience. Students are welcome to present conference papers, lessons, or projects to an audience of students and faculty members with time for a Q&A afterward.
