Mills gives you multiple opportunities to perform with other students and faculty for San Francisco Bay Area audiences. As a graduate dance student, you'll be encouraged to audition for the Mills Repertory Dance Company, which showcases works by faculty, guest artists, and leading choreographers. Performances take place on campus and in San Francisco each fall.
In the spring, dance students perform pieces choreographed by graduating MFA candidates at the MFA thesis concert, which is also organized and publicized by students, so you gain real-world experience in promoting your work. And at the end of each semester, students and faculty present choreographic experiments and class work during Studio One Performances in the dance practice studios.
From full-scale performances to intimate showcases, you'll have numerous opportunities to perform your work.
