Educational Leadership Programs at Mills
Our Educational Leadership Programs are designed for working practitioners who hold or seek leadership positions in a wide variety of educational settings, including urban public school systems, higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations focused on policy making, and early childhood educational programs.
Through our programs, students develop and articulate their own vision of leadership in order to address the most pressing questions facing educators today. The coursework builds on the diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences students bring to the program, illustrating how these strengths can contribute to and shape the future of educational policy, advocacy, and practice.
Students work closely with their advisors to customize their program of study. Our MA in educational leadership may also be tailored to focus on the areas of early childhood leadership and independent school leadership. This enables current or aspiring practitioners to develop and articulate their institutional and pedagogical visions so that they may achieve their potential as leaders within early childhood or independent school settings. Courses for all of our educational leadership programs are offered on weekday evenings to accommodate professional work schedules. Our online MA in educational leadership can be completed entirely online through a year-and-a-half-long program that meets once weekly.
