We offer a number of ways you can get to know us and determine if the School of Education at Mills is a good match for you.
Throughout the academic year, the School of Education hosts monthly information sessions where faculty, staff, and students describe our programs and answer individual questions from prospective students. We explain the admission and financial aid processes and meet in small groups to provide an insider's view of our programs. Light refreshments are served.
Once you've attended an information session, you'll be invited to take part in one of several application workshops offered by the School of Education. At these informative, interactive events, prospective applicants share their questions about the process of writing a statement of purpose, requesting recommendations, and preparing for an interview.
Talk with Current Students or Recent Alumni
In each of our programs, current students and recent alumnae/i are willing to answer questions and share their experiences with you. Just send a request to email@example.com, and we'll match you with someone best suited to connect with you by phone or email.
Visit a Class
With a bit of notice, we are happy to arrange for you to sit in on any of our classes. We can send you a schedule of classes in each of our program areas and arrange a date that you're available to visit. This offers you an informal way to get to know current students and faculty and get a feel for what it would be like to be a student here.
Walking tours of the campus are offered by the Office of Graduate Admissions Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:00 am. We encourage interested students to combine a campus tour with other visit opportunities, such as admissions consultations and class visits, as detailed below. To sign up for a campus tour, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. For a sneak peek of our beautiful campus, check out our virtual tour.
For those interested in our Early Childhood Education Programs, we can also arrange tours of the Children's School on an individual basis. Please contact 510.430.3170 or email@example.com for more information.
Our director of enrollment is a resource and advocate for applicants throughout the application process. At any stage of your decision making, you can arrange an informal meeting in person (or by phone) by calling 510.430.3170 or writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
