Career Opportunities

Having a master’s degree and a teaching credential is a distinct advantage in the field of education. Choose a teaching credential that matches your interests from the following options:

  • Multiple Subject Credential: Students in this credential program are prepared to teach kindergarten through eighth grade in multi-subject classrooms.
  • Single Subject Credential in Humanities: Students in this program emerge prepared to teach art, English, French, Spanish, or social science. Most single subject credential candidates go on to teach at the middle school or high school level, though they are qualified to teach their subject area in any K–12 classroom.
  • Single Subject Credential in Mathematics or Science: Students in this program are prepared to teach mathematics, biology, chemistry, or physics. Most single subject credential candidates go on to teach at the middle school or high school level, though they are qualified to teach their subject area in any K–12 classroom.
