Do You Want to Help Transform Urban Schools?
Mills is at the forefront of preparing visionary teachers who are changing the landscape of urban education. If you are interested in teaching children from kindergarten through high school while improving our urban schools, Mills offers an accelerated degree program that may be perfect for you.
Our bachelor’s-to-master’s/teacher credential program gives you the opportunity to choose any undergraduate major that interests you while also pursuing an accelerated master’s degree in education and a teaching credential. The program enables you to earn your master’s degree and credential in less time, so you can begin the critical work of improving our urban schools as soon as possible.
As part of your program, you will spend time in the Mills College Children’s School on campus, where you will student-teach and observe children from infancy through fifth grade. You will also have the opportunity to observe teachers in local classrooms and even teach curriculum you have developed.
