Events & Activities
  • Talks and Panel Discussions—Learn about careers and emerging trends like topology and data science. Hear from Mills alumnae and students, professors from other universities, and representatives from industry leaders, including Google, Pixar, Mozilla, and Gap.
  • Mills Math Club—This lively organization promotes community and professional development by inviting speakers and hosting fun events like math craft night, math films, and math-themed plays.
  • Off-Campus Lectures and Events—Join other math students for activities such as the Lesbians Who Tech + Allies Summit, Black Girls Code, and lectures by innovators and educators like Bob Moses, president of the Algebra Project.
  • Women in Math—Mills is proud to host EDGE in 2017, a summer program that promotes women in the mathematical sciences, and to offer other resources and programs that empower underrepresented groups in mathematics.

Teaching Assistant Program
Talented math students serve as teaching assistants, helping other students with their course assignments. This program offers support to all math students and provides teaching assistants with additional faculty mentorship and opportunities to sharpen your math skills.
