Pilates, hiking, sailing, and karate. These are just a few of the options you can choose from to cultivate physical skills in an inclusive, dynamic learning environment.
About the Physical Education Program
Physical education courses at Mills include cardio, strength training, sports medicine, sustainable living, healthy eating, self-defense, and massage. While PE classes are not required, physical education provides a meaningful dimension to your liberal arts education. Diverse dance, yoga, and fitness offerings encourage physical well-being, foster leadership, and promote collaboration. Courses like trail running and hiking will enable you to explore the natural beauty of the San Francisco Bay Area.
With about 30 activity courses offered for academic credit each semester, you’ll find small classes and engaging instructors who welcome beginning and experienced participants. Whatever courses you choose, you’ll work with inspiring teachers who will help you develop sports and movement skills and a passion for setting your body in motion. View our program details for in-depth information on physical education.
