Living on Campus

Make yourself at home in one of our historic residence halls—you can even have your own room. You'll be at the center of everything happening on campus as you build new friendships that will last a lifetime. Most of all, you'll enjoy the personal growth living in a residence hall will bring to your college experience.

“When you’re living on campus, there’s a strong sense of community with your fellow Mills students, and you can be involved with multiple clubs and activities easily.”Liliana P. Gonzalez ’12

First-year, traditional-age students have the added benefit of living in themed housing communities. As a new student, you can choose from a changing list of communities that focus on diverse topics such as creative writing, science, art, or social justice. It’s a great way to make new friends and attend lectures, films, art exhibitions, or other fun activities that interest you over the course of your first semester at Mills. It’s also a great way to explore the Bay Area and beyond.

A ROOM OF YOUR OWN

Most students who live on campus have the option of living in single rooms. First-year residence halls typically include:

  • Wireless Internet
  • Grand pianos
  • California sleeping porches
  • Laundry facilities
  • Kitchens
  • Computer labs
  • Recreation rooms
  • 24-hour secure entrances
