On Saturday August 24, all students—graduate and undergraduate—are welcomed to campus with a dinner reception and resource fair. Individual departments may hold activities on Sunday through Wednesday. Official graduate student orientation convenes on Tuesday, August 27. For questions specific to your department, students should connect directly with their respective program representatives.

Upon your arrival to campus, Orientation staff will be waiting to greet you outside of the GSB Building. You will receive your Student Orientation packets and will be directed to the appropriate check-in station. Student IDs, keys, parking permits, and AC Transit passes will be distributed.

College administrators will welcome you to the larger Mills community and give an overview of orientation and what to expect during the next couple of days. Families of Mills students are encouraged to attend.

Learn about different campus resources at the resource fair, as well as get some of your questions answered. Four food trucks from Off the Grid will be serving local eats, with dessert and beverages provided by Bon Appetit. This is a family-friendly event. Stop by the Info Table to pick up complimentary meal tickets.

Hosted by the dean of students, this session will provide graduate students with key information essential to transitioning to the Mills community. The panel will include representatives from Student Access and Support Services, the F. W. Olin Library, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Counseling and Psychological Services, Career Connections & Community Engagement, and IT. Light breakfast will be served as part of this session.
