At Mills Since 2016


Alex Engel earned a Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the University of California, San Francisco and trained as a postdoctoral fellow in immunology at the University of California, Berkeley. His research team of Mills undergraduate students investigates the molecular mechanisms of how two cells come together and fuse to become one cell. In the classroom, he uses evidence-based practices to promote active, authentic, and inclusive biology learning transformation.
