At Mills Since 2005


Dr. Walter has published work on vaccine development, cerebrospinal injuries, and alcohol addiction. Currently, her research focuses on developing new antimicrobial medications and the microbial challenges of space settlement, which includes a recent paper in Acta Astronautica. She teaches Microbiology, Immunology and Tropical Marine Conservation, a class which takes students Scuba diving. She is also the Director of the Hellman Summer Science and Math Fellows and Pre-Nursing Program.
