Through our Named Scholarship Program, donors—like Cristine Russell—have played leading roles in providing students with access to a Mills education. With a gift of $5,000 or more*, you too may name an undergraduate scholarship or graduate fellowship in honor or in memory of a family member, friend, professor, mentor, or organization.
Naming the scholarship personalizes your contribution and allows you to link your source of inspiration to the student whose education you support. In the academic year after your gift, Mills will award 100 percent of your scholarship to one student; you may specify whether the recipient should be an undergraduate or graduate student.
In recognition of your gift, we will inform you of the recipient of your undergraduate scholarship or graduate fellowship and provide biographical information whenever possible. We will make every effort to introduce you to your student.
In addition, individuals who establish scholarships will be honored as members of the Cyrus and Susan Mills Society and enjoy invitations to events hosted by President Elizabeth Hillman, campus lectures, concerts, and other special gatherings.
If you are interested in establishing a named undergraduate scholarship or graduate fellowship or have any questions, please contact the Mills College Annual Fund at 510.430.2366 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Your gift must be made in full within the fiscal year ending June 30. If you are unable to reach the $5,000 minimum for a named scholarship or graduate fellowship before June 30, the balance in the fund will be applied to the general Mills College Scholarship Fund.
