The merger between Mills College and Northeastern University enables us to continue the legacy of Mills within a global campus network. Through this first-of-its-kind merger, thousands of students and faculty will learn, teach, and live on the Mills campus. Mills at Northeastern will confer both undergraduate and graduate degrees, ensuring that our campus continues to be a place of inspiration and learning into the future.
As a result of this merger, students will have the following opportunities:
Mills at Northeastern students will have access to classes and resources at all the campuses within the Northeastern global network.
Staff will provide in-person support on the Mills campus for students who wish to explore the Mills at Northeastern academic and experiential learning opportunities.
Northeastern will support the launch of the Mills Institute as a hub for research and advocacy to advance women’s leadership, gender and racial justice, and other causes embedded in the Mills mission and legacy.
While we hope that our current students will choose to complete their degrees at Mills, we understand that may not be the right option for everyone during this transitional period. We have negotiated transfer agreements with a variety of schools to help provide additional student opportunities.
