Oakland, CA–February 24, 2017
A March 10 conference exploring solutions to economic inequity, sponsored by the Center for Socially Responsible Business at Mills College and Net Impact, is the topic of the latest broadcast, “Live from the Heller Room Room” on Facebook Live.
Mills Associate Provost Maggie Hunter spoke to Lorry I. Lokey School of Business and Public Policy students Naima McQueen and Rick Rivera about the conference, “Confronting the Equity Gap: What’s Working and What’s Next?”
“We’ll be trying to move beyond the theoretical in social justice and really look at best practices,” Rivera said. “Every panel at the daylong conference is going to be solution oriented.”
In addition to offering panels and speakers, the event is a networking opportunity for those interested in meeting top thinkers in the socially responsible business world.
The ninth annual conference, which runs from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm is open to the public and Mills students. Tickets are available online at http://www.csrbconference.org/tickets/.
