Oakland, CA—June 18, 2018
Mills College alumna Amy Nathan '18, has been awarded the prestigious of the International Sculpture Center’s Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award for 2018.
One of 354 students from over 138 colleges, university, and art school sculpture programs in North America and abroad, Nathan was selected as one of only 17 recipients. Award recipients will participate in a Fall/Winter Exhibition and their work will be featured in the 2018 October issue of Sculpture magazine as well as on the ISC’s award-winning website at www.sculpture.org.
The International Sculpture Center (ISC) established the Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award program in 1994 to recognize deserving sculptors and to encourage their continued commitment to the field.
“We are excited by this prestigious award honoring the hard work and talent of one of our students,” said Mills College Department Head of Arts and Visual Culture Catherine Wagner. “The award speaks to the significance of the Studio Art program at Mills.”
