Mills College to Host Its 10th Annual Socially Responsible Business Conference March 9

The Center for Socially Responsible Business (CSRB) at Mills College will host its 10th annual conference on Friday, March 9, 2018. The theme of this year's conference is Investing in Community: Elevating the Collaborative Bay Area Economy.

In partnership with the Lokey School of Business and Public Policy chapter of Net Impact, an international organization of MBA students and professionals who are working for a sustainable future, the CSRB conference will address growing the local economy in an equitable way.

The keynote address will be delivered by Konda Mason, co-founder and CEO of Impact Hub Oakland, a co-working space for socially engaged changemakers and social entrepreneurs. Her other projects include the Pachamama Alliance, The Well Being in Business Lab, and Spirit Rock, an Insight Meditation Center.

Panels will be offered throughout the day on topics such as:

  • Envisioning a Path to Community Economic Empowerment
  • Environmental Justice Business Models
  • Capital Raising an Investment
  • Real Life: I Am an Entrepreneur
  • Non-Traditional Funding Models
  • Tech Forces as Market Forces: Rising Tech Trends and Their Impact on Your Business
