Conscious Company magazine included Mills College in its list of 15 top MBA programs nationwide based on social consciousness and affordability.
The Lorry I. Lokey School of Business and Public Policy ranked seventh among the top 15 impact-focused business programs in the US today. The score is based on the program’s affordability, educational emphasis on social impact, environmental sustainability, and social entrepreneurship.
The Concious Company ranking used baseline criteria from a similar list compiled by the Oakland, California nonprofit Net Impact and added a few criteria of its own.
The magazine said it liked the Lorry I. Lokey School of Business and Public Policy because “it is devoted to diversity, sustainability, and social responsibility with a big nod toward social justice. Bonus: all required business courses are offered in late afternoon or evening time slots at least once during each academic year to accommodate working professionals.”
The magazine also said the ranking “prioritized schools that were holistic in their educational approach, affordable, and top notch.”
Conscious Company launched the list to highlight the idea that “the future needs MBAs who care more about changing the world than about owning it.”
