New VP of Enrollment and Marketing Joins Mills College in the New Year

Oakland, CA—November 5, 2018

Audrey TannerDr. Audrey Tanner will join Mills College as Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing in January 2019. Dr. Tanner brings a vast amount of experience that crosses academic disciplines, regions of the country, and undergraduate and graduate programs.

Dr. Tanner is currently Dean of Enrollment Services at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA, where she oversees the growth of both undergraduate and graduate programs. Prior to joining MGH Institute of Health Professionals, she held leadership positions in enrollment and student services at distinguished institutions across the country, including California Institute of the Arts, the University of Saint Joseph, the San Francisco Art Institute, and Dominican University of California. Her stellar higher education career has cultivated a deep appreciation for the fundamental value of diversity and inclusion, a creative approach to problem-solving, and an unmatched understanding of how financial aid affects student and institutional success.

As an Ada Comstock Scholar at Smith College, Dr. Tanner earned Phi Beta Kappa honors en route to a BA in art history. She holds an EdD in higher education leadership as well as a second bachelor's degree in psychology and graduate degrees or certificates in management, marketing, and fiction writing, reflecting her wide range of interests and commitment to learning.

Dr. Tanner will begin her tenure at Mills College on January 22, 2019. Her presence will help us strengthen the MillsNext pillars of inclusive excellence, affordability and accessibility, global learning and real-world skills, and gender and racial justice in the new year, and in many years to come.
