Oakland, CA—March 31, 2016
The Mills College School of Education and its MFA in Studio Art program are included in the new U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate School rankings released in March.
Rankings for the Mills College graduate studio art program are the result of a peer assessment survey in 2015 of deans and academics at MFA programs in art and design. Survey recipients ranked arts programs on a scale of one (marginal) to five (outstanding).
The Mills College School of Education rankings for education school graduate programs were determined by 10 criteria assessed in the fall of 2015 and in early 2016 in four categories including quality assessment by professionals in the industry, student selectivity, faculty resources, and research activity.
“We are immensely gratified Mills College is ranked among the top graduate programs nationwide,” said Mills President Alecia DeCoudreaux. “Our rankings are the result of bringing together accomplished faculty with intelligent students who are all dedicated to personal and collective success.”
