We're Ready to Listen.

Our Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) office is focused on helping you to gain greater knowledge about yourself and your relationships with others, identify your strengths, and face any challenges in making healthy and meaningful choices in your life. We offer confidential counseling based on a holistic view of individual development.

How Counseling Works

All Mills students are eligible for eight free counseling sessions per academic year. We have a full-time staff of experienced counselors from a broad range of backgrounds. Our Counseling and Psychological Services staff offers crisis intervention, time-limited individual and group psychotherapy, resources, and referrals for Mills students. Our licensed clinicians train and supervise our pre-doctoral psychology staff. Appointments can be made in person at the Counseling Center, or over the phone by calling 510.430.2111. We can also refer you to counseling resources in the community.

Our goal is to provide you with the support you need to enhance your personal and academic life at Mills.
