Named one of the top 50 best college art museums in the country, the Mills College Art Museum is home to the largest permanent collection of any liberal arts college in the West. But what we’re most proud of is our role in supporting the work of Mills student-artists.
All students can draw inspiration from the vibrant exhibitions of contemporary work from nationally and internationally known artists that happen year round. These innovative exhibitions, programs, and collections will enrich your intellectual and creative life at Mills.
For undergraduate and graduate art students, you can do even more. You can install an exhibition of your work from your senior thesis or your master of fine arts thesis. These annual shows attract the Bay Area art media and gallery owners who come to see emerging talent. You can network with local and visiting artists and scholars who give lectures and special presentations in intimate settings that give you access and connections that will help advance your work.
