Mills Public Safety Officers are Mills College Employees. Each officer is required to participate in training courses that exceed federal and state requirements for security officers. Our campus security officers work closely with the Oakland Police Department, the Alameda County Sheriff, and the Oakland Fire Department. Public Safety officers are certified in first aid, CPR, and AED, and several are also certified EMTs or First Responders.
